Madalitso Kazembe is a seasoned economist and operations strategist with over two decades of experience in macroeconomic policy, financial sector development, and investment management. As a Director at MMC Laboratories Limited, she brings a wealth of expertise in governance, strategic planning, and institutional development—key to supporting MMC’s growth in the regulated medicinal cannabis sector.
Madalitso currently serves as Head of Operations at a prominent development trust, where she oversees social development programmes and a diversified investment portfolio. Her career spans leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, including 13 years as an economist at Malawi’s Ministry of Finance and six years as Director of Business Environment in a private sector development organization. She also held a research role in sovereign and corporate credit at Gramercy Funds Management in the United States.
She holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Malawi and a Postgraduate Certificate in Capital Markets Development from George Washington University. Madalitso also serves as a non-executive director on the boards of Bridge path Capital Limited and Press Agriculture Limited.
